"The difference I saw in my child within a month of beginning Whole Life Learning Center was unbelievable. She entered as a sapphire at age 8, after unsuccessfully finishing second grade in a traditional school. She had not started reading and was terrified of simple math skills. She cried everyday at her old school, despite having very kind and supportive teachers. She had a look of panic on her face and was constantly axious. After a month at WLLC she began to bloom. She went willingly and happily to school every day. She slept better, didn't have anxiety before bed about remembering math facts or spelling words, and relaxed - and began to read! She made friends and stood straighter; she felt important and capable. Perhaps the most important words came from hers when she said, "Mommy remember when you picked me up at my old school and I was always smiling? Well that was because I was so happy to see you. Now when you pick me up and I'm smiling, it's because I had an awesome day!" WLLC supports the whole child. They understand that a child cannot learn if they don't feel safe and relaxed and confident. The mentors work together to support each child's individual education.
